Helping Others Is What We Do

It really is true that helping others feels better than helping yourself. Just ask our team. They have once again finished off another holiday season of helping area families in need. It’s the eighth year of our Adopt a Family program and our team just keeps upping their game when it comes to helping others.

This past season our team in our Michigan office raised close to $1,000 and purchased close to 100 gifts for area families and children. We adopted three families that included six children all with the help of the Farmington Hills Public Schools. They bought toys and Legos, clothing and bedding for these […]

Whenever someone asks me what I do for a living and I respond that I am a collector for a collection agency the next question is normally “how do you do it”?

My response is that it’s a good job to have, my job benefits all parties involved in the actual collection and I enjoy helping people. I am never surprised at the thoughts that run through someone’s mind thinking how bad the job is and how stressful it must be when in actuality it’s a pleasure to help those in need throughout the country.

Every year at American Profit Recovery we seem to take Halloween to a level unmatched by other collection agencies. I know others in the collection industry and when I speak with they don’t even mention Halloween parties. Not only did we have a potluck with so much great food that I did not eat dinner last night. I get to listen to many collection calls as part of our continued pledge to compliance and excellence. In the old days most company’s customer service calls or incoming calls were always treated with happy, friendly voices trying to help.

Well, I am happy to say that it is still the old days here as we continue to lead by example to other companies with our Customer Service and Admin teams and more importantly, our collection calls.

It’s Still A Big Deal To Us

Let’s see, in 2008 we saw Brittany Spears melt down, we were again in the midst of an intense election cycle for president, Harrison Ford turned 65 and Miley Cyrus was 15 years old.
