Work Ethic…

As a collection agency, we pride ourselves here on having one of the best teams in the industry. As I mentioned before, our core values drive us in everything we do. We constantly focus on them and we are reminded daily of these values; from top management all the way down. We talked about integrity last time and how important, especially in this business to be as honest as possible in everything you do.

But what about work ethic? Equally as important is how we conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity is how we conduct ourselves in the workplace. We never want to force anyone to do their job. […]

Integrity…

Too often, words are thrown around in corporate America to describe their culture, environment and their philosophy of business. No offense to our PR guy but sometimes these words are just slapped together from communications or marketing people because they think that’s what people want to hear. Well one thing is right; they do want to hear them but they insist on you walking the walk and talking the talk.

We have among others, three core values at this collection agency; Integrity, work ethic and positive attitude. Our first is integrity.

Managing collections during the holidays

As a collection agency, we often get inquires as to how to handle late and non-paying customers during the holiday season. Many businesses make the mistake of halting all collection efforts during this time of the year for fear of causing even more tension between the business and client. And as a collection agency, we see this more often than not. While it’s great that the business is trying to keep that customer, it’s not a good idea to stop communication.

Collection agencies, holidays, debt,

If you stop communicating with the client who owes you money, they may get the impression that you have gone away or given up […]

The Clear Signs A Customer Is Not Going To Pay

As business owners and those responsible for keeping our operations afloat, wouldn’t it be great if we all had a crystal ball to tell us when customers were not going to pay? While that might not be a reality, there are clear signs that you can look out for when customers go into delinquency.

If we know a customer is not going to pay on time or just not pay at all, it can help you determine a course of action that much quicker. And we all know that the longer a bill goes unpaid, the more difficult it is to be compensated for what you provided that customer.

Net 30-What Happens After That?

We get a lot of questions regarding accounts receivables and collections from our clients.

One recent question to one of our team members was about what happens to the collection process after your Net 30 Payment Terms.

Our first question to you is do your customers actually know you have Net 30 terms? Have you told them, inserted it in all your invoices and statements and maybe even posted it in your waiting room or lobby? Make sure you do this first.

Second, when you do get to that 30-day mark, a good way to open the lines of communication is to place a customer service call. Find out if your […]

Proud to work here? You bet…

We’ve just been notified that we have once again been named one of the best places to work in the collection industry. This marks eight years in a row on this list. We’ve only been in business 11 years so I think that’s saying a lot. It’s a program created by industry publication insideARM.com and The Best Companies Group.2015-bptw-winners-wreath-2000x1600
