Dignity and Respect Never Meant So Much

By Matt H.

I recently had the privilege of attending the Tennessee Funeral Director Association Conference in Murfreesboro TN.   I met some amazing people.   One of the organizations that was set up next to my booth was “The Compassionate Friends”.  This organization was created to help families that have suffered the death of a child.   They were truly there to get out the word out that there is help.   The couple that was there told their story to anybody that walked by.  It broke my heart to listen to their tragedy.  In 2008 their eldest son was at college playing a video game and his heart stopped and he […]

This Collection Agency Always Gives Back

By Peggy Q.

When I first started at American Profit Recovery in October, I was immediately impressed by the company’s commitment to the community and charitable organizations.  To say APR “gives back” or “pays it forward” are understatements.  In November, we collected toiletries for vets in need, adopted 3 local families for Christmas,  raised money for the ACA Scholarship Fund in March and adopted a park in April.  Little did I know at the time, that my family would benefit from one of our efforts!

In April, my daughter Kiera applied for, and was awarded a $1000 ACA Scholarship that she can use at the college of her choice  (hint–Go […]

The Right Tools for the Job

Leadership in our debt collections.

By: Dave Y.

Recently my son has taken up archery as a hobby, he signed up for lessons from a local archery range and did not own any of his own equipment.  He started off doing ok, but not quite what he thought he could do.  I was telling my coworkers about my son’s foray into archery and one of them mentioned he had two bows and equipment for sale.  I was immediately interested, as I wanted my son to do better, and felt that having the right tools for the job would benefit his performance.  A few weeks went by, he started doing better and better each week, culminating in a […]

Fun Around the Office Goes a Long Way

Once again the team of this collection agency took the month of April to raise a little money for an important cause. The numbers are in and we raised just over $1,900 for the ACA International Education Foundation during Collectors Challenge Month. Our team has been doing this every year since 2009 and they look forward to the challenge of raising money, having fun and doing their jobs all at the same time.

Since we started participating in the Collectors Challenge, we have raised over $16,000 for the Foundation and the work that they do. The ACA International Education Foundation funds scholarships programs and works to advance the higher […]

The Importance of Collecting Proper Information

Proper information helps with debt collections

Information is a great way to keep in contact with your customers for a whole host of reasons. Marketing new products and services, rescheduling appointments and good old fashioned customer service.

It’s also vital to working with your customers to work out late payments. After all, the easier it is to get in contact with a delinquent account, the easier you can resolve that payment issue. We can’t tell you how many times we see a business come to us and they have very little information on their clients. In fact the credit bureaus just released news that starting in 2017 you may not […]

Kids and Money

It’s no secret that many of our lifelong habits are acquired at an early age. From our attitudes about certain things, the foods we eat, the company we keep and many other traits. So why should money be any different? April is Financial Literacy Month so let’s help our kids by giving them some tools.

And for all you parents who have kids heading out for Spring Break, we suggest you send them this article right now. See if they can catch up on their financial education just a bit before they hit the beach…

For many, the discussion about money comes way too late when it comes to kids. And it shows in their habits as […]

April Is Financial Literacy Month

April signifies so many things here. For one, spring is here and of course its tax season. It’s also Financial Literacy Month. Here at American Profit Recovery, we join many other collection agencies this April in helping to raise money for The ACA International Education Foundation which promotes financial literacy and the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship.

We also try hard to always educate the consumer on how they can better manage their finances and when they do get into a tricky situation, how to navigate through it all. We’ve mentioned these tips several times here on our blog and on television interviews we’ve done but […]
