A much-needed employee appreciation week

Recently we held our annual employee week and it was a long time coming! It was so refreshing to have our team together again and kick back, relax and have some much-needed fun and games.

This has been an annual event for many years at American Profit Recovery but it’s no surprise that we were unable to pull it off for the past two years because of COVID-19. But we are back and it was as energetic as it has ever been getting everybody together to celebrate each other.

We fully recognize that every organization that operates in an office environment had to make incredible adjustments when it came to how and where team members work. But when it came to debt collections, there were many more challenges that needed to be worked out given the confidentiality of our industry and the complexity of working as a nationwide debt collection agency.

But our team pulled it off in a way we knew was possible but never thought it would ever come to that.

We have one of the most amazing teams in the industry and they handle every situation with grace and tact. But at times, debt collections can challenge even the best employees and some calls can be stressful. And that’s why it has always been beneficial to have our team members in the office to support each other. But they proved over the past two years that support can be extended through virtual and hybrid working environments.

But make no mistake about it, everyone here loves a good party and when we can take an entire week and just enjoy and celebrate each other, we’re going to do it. Our team served a critical component in the US economy and the owners of American Profit Recovery wanted to make sure they were thanked appropriately.

We fed our team until they could not eat any longer. Between tacos, pizza, and our traditional owner’s breakfast, there was enough food for everyone for the entire week. Let’s just say, no one starved here.

We went bowling, had a few beers, tried our best at the escape rooms, went fishing, and once again did our annual community service at a local recreational park.

In the office, we had daily trivia games where people could get away from their desks and have a few laughs. We also had daily challenging games that turned our conference room into a funhouse. And of course, it wouldn’t be employee week without theme days where everyone could dress up as a pirate, or anything they felt like.

This was one of the best employee weeks we have ever had for one simple reason. Our team proved that whatever happens, even a pandemic, they can rally together and continue our important work for the businesses that hire us and the consumers that need help navigating financial difficulties.

This is also the reason why we have been rated one of the best collection agencies to work for since 2008. We know we have one of the best teams in the business and we want to do our part and recognize everyone for their accomplishments and dedication to each other.
