A common misconception of debt collectors is that they are all mean, tough, and demand money immediately. While that could be true for some places, most often the goal of a debt collector is to help consumers find a way out of their debt, while also helping businesses to stay afloat, and stay out of debt. I believe what sets American Profit Recovery apart from other collection agencies, is the customer service that we present to all parties involved in the collections process, and the care given to each consumer we are working with.
The expectation of getting that tough, mean, not understanding collector who demands money immediately, causes some consumers to automatically be in defense mode when they answer the phone and hear we are calling to collect a debt. Another reason that a consumer could be in defense mode, is that they really don’t have the money, need some type of hardship payment plan, and believe that the collector won’t work with them on that.
A day in collections is never the same. You will get super friendly consumers, consumers who pay immediately because they know they owe the debt, and you will also get the tough consumers who refuse to identify themselves, or who may sometimes come across as rude because they are upset at their own situation of being in debt. We understand that, don’t take it personally, and try to get through to consumers that we are not here to judge, but to assist them in getting out of debt.
Our goal at American Profit Recovery is to always help the consumer understand that we are here for them, as well as the clients. We are quite the opposite of this misconception, offering kind tones, detailed explanations, and we go through every avenue we can to build rapport with consumers, and find the best plan to fit what they can afford, while also keeping our clients happy.
That is what makes American Profit Recovery stand out. We strive to provide the best customer service possible, no matter what obstacles we may face.
