Entering my sixth year at American Profit Recovery

I am in awe that I am approaching my sixth year here at American Profit Recovery. As they say, time flies when you’re having fun.

It feels like it was just yesterday that I came in for my interview and met my manager, and contemplated whether or not I was going to give debt collections a try. Little did I know, collections was meant for me.

On a daily basis, I speak to consumers all around the nation and help them find ways to pay their just debts—as mentioned in our collector’s pledge. I get to go home knowing that I was able to relieve some stress off some consumers, as well as our clients for collecting on their past due accounts.

When I was a rookie, I would hear other employees’ anniversaries being announced during our company call—and I could hardly believe it. Many of my coworkers have been here for 15+ years and that’s the direction I’m heading in. This place is full of opportunities and flexibility, and I have a wonderful team I can count on that I consider family. Although we are hard workers, we make work a fun place by chatting and laughing throughout the day.

I started at APR winning the Rookie of the Year award and have since won the Collector of the Year award, annually. My coworkers don’t make it easy, but I am up for the competition. I grew up playing sports in school like basketball and track, so when it comes to collections, I have that competitive mindset that motivates me to stay on top throughout the year.

I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the accounts submitted by our clients, and without the training American Profit Recovery provides to make me a better worker every day. It’s never a dull moment at APR, I look forward to what the future has to offer and winning the Collector of the Year award for the sixth year in a row.
